The Viral Hepatitis Action Coalition facilitates the convening of several key meetings between stakeholders. Here is a list of recent key meetings.

VHAC Bi-Annual Meeting | November 13, 2015

The CDC Foundation convened the Bi-Annual Viral Hepatitis Action Coalition (VHAC) Partner Meeting in San Francisco, CA on November 13, 2015 with a focus of international and U.S. domestic prevention of viral hepatitis. The meeting agenda focused on national-level elimination planning, expanding access to therapies, improving the hepatitis care cascades, and setting elimination targets.

November 13, 2015 meeting material 

Summit on Stopping the Hepatitis C Virus Epidemic among Young Persons Who Inject Drugs | July 20, 2015 

The CDC Foundation and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of Viral Hepatitis convened a summit in Atlanta, GA on Stopping the Hepatitis C Epidemic among Young Persons Who Inject Drugs on July 20, 2015. The summit focused on detection and response priorities, with the goals to identify priority surveillance, research, and prevention strategies aimed at stopping the epidemic.

VHAC Bi-Annual Meeting | November 7, 2014

The CDC Foundation convened the Bi-Annual Viral Hepatitis Action Coalition (VHAC) Partner Meeting in Boston, MA on November 7, 2014 with U.S. domestic and global topics on prevention and control. The U.S. domestic agenda topics centered on surveillance and evaluation; testing, linkage to care, and treatment, and CDC’s cure and prevention strategies for people who inject drugs. The global agenda focused on CDC’s role in global viral hepatitis prevention and control and progress towards hepatitis C control in Egypt, the country of Georgia, and Pakistan.

November 7, 2014 meeting material 

National Summit on HCV Prevention and Cure | July 17-18, 2014

The CDC Foundation and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of Viral Hepatitis convened National Summit on HCV Prevention and Cure in Atlanta, GA July 17 - 18, 2014. The summit coincided with the occasion of the 25th anniversary of hepatitis C. Summit presentations focused on the critical interventions needed to improve the continuum of HCV testing, care, and treatment in the United States. Dan Bradley, the CDC scientist responsible for the discovery of hepatitis C was recognized during a special reception.

July 17-18, 2014 meeting material

The CDC Foundation convened the Bi-Annual Viral Hepatitis Action Coalition (VHAC) Partner Meeting in Washington, D.C., on November 1, 2013. The meeting topics focused on topics around educating communities, patients and providers; monitoring disease and the impact of interventions, expanding access to testing and care, and enhancing care and treatment.

VHAC Bi-Annual Meeting (Spring Summit) | May 16-17, 2013

The CDC Foundation and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of Viral Hepatitis convened a meeting in Atlanta, GA. The meeting focused on priorities of Division of Viral Hepatitis and CDC in building state and local capacity to prevent viral hepatitis.
